Mueller Cares

At Mueller, we believe in supporting and giving back to organizations in the communities we live and work in.

Our contributions are not just through individual and corporate donations, but by volunteering time, Board involvement, and Board leadership. From building a home for a deserving and needy family through Habitat for Humanity, to raising money by participating in 5ks, to volunteering at a food pantry; Mueller employees know they are contributing where it is needed most.

Mueller Employees' Charities of Choice

Make a Wish® Illinois grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. We have supported their annual 5K Run for Wishes but wanted to deepen our level of involvement and giving. Partnering with two long term clients, we looked for a fundraising vehicle that would engage employees from all three companies to benefit a deserving charity, give back to our local community, and provide a fun and enjoyable event for all the participants and supporters. The result was a friendly bowling and fundraising event called Bowling for Wishes. This event has raised over $288,000 the past three years fulfilling the wishes of 48 deserving children.

Recognizing that food insecurity was a problem in the Greater Elgin area, Food For Greater Elgin was created to provide a client-choice food distribution facility. Food For Greater Elgin is providing food assistance to 1,250 families, feeding 6,000 individuals in those households, of whom nearly half are children. Mueller employees volunteer their time monthly at the food pantry; collect donations on jean days, and further support annual fund raising events such as Palette to Palate.

Anderson Animal Shelter has been improving the lives of pets and people through service, education, and advocacy for more than 50 years. Their animal welfare partnerships, welcoming facilities, and no-kill philosophy has brought love and joy back into the Fax Valley community. Mueller employees volunteer their time each month at the shelter providing hands-on care to the shelter animals as well as participating in events and fundraisers for the shelter.
