Mueller Cares

At Mueller, we believe in supporting and giving back to organizations in the communities we live and work in.

Our contributions are not just through individual and corporate donations, but by volunteering time, Board involvement, and Board leadership. From building a home for a deserving and needy family through Habitat for Humanity, to raising money by participating in 5ks, to volunteering at a food pantry; Mueller employees know they are contributing where it is needed most.

Mueller Employees' Charities of Choice

Animals have a special spot in Mueller employees’ hearts, therefore our newest local addition to our charities of choice comes as no surprise. Crème de la Crème Animal Foundation (CDLC) is a no-kill refuge who rescues and rehabilitates companion and farm animals. Their Adoption Center and Sanctuary are home to over 200 rescued animals some of which include camels, buffalo, potbelly pigs, horses, and many more. Mueller employees show their support by raising money through hosting events such as  a “Paint Nite” event benefiting the organization.

Make a Wish® Illinois grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. We have supported their annual 5K Run for Wishes but wanted to deepen our level of involvement and giving. Partnering with two long term clients, we looked for a fundraising vehicle that would engage employees from all three companies to benefit a deserving charity, give back to our local community, and provide a fun and enjoyable event for all the participants and supporters. The result was a friendly bowling and fundraising event called Bowling for Wishes. This event has raised over $288,000 the past three years fulfilling the wishes of 48 deserving children.

Recognizing that food insecurity was a problem in the Greater Elgin area, Food For Greater Elgin was created to provide a client-choice food distribution facility. Food For Greater Elgin is providing food assistance to 1,250 families, feeding 6,000 individuals in those households, of whom nearly half are children. Mueller employees volunteer their time monthly at the food pantry; collect gracious donations, and further support annual fund raising events such as Palette to Palate.

Chicago HOPES for Kids empowers children experiencing homelessness by providing direct academic support in Chicago’s homeless shelters. They help these students unlock their own potential by ensuring that the children receive the necessary academic support needed to keep up in school. By showing our support, Mueller is encouraging these students to develop a positive relationship with learning that will give them hope for the future.

Gigi’s Playhouse changes lives through consistent delivery of free educational, therapeutic-based and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community, through a replicable playhouse model. By supporting this organization, Mueller is helping Gigi’s Playhouse change the way the world views Down syndrome, sending a global message of acceptance to all.

Together We Cope is a homeless prevention agency who serves communities in four townships in Chicago’s south suburbs. They bridge the gap in temporary crisis by providing food, shelter, clothing and referrals, to help people in the community return to self-sufficiency. By financially supporting this organization through in-office fundraisers, Mueller is helping our neighbors stay in their homes, making the community stronger for everyone.

Heartland Alliance, one of the world’s leading anti-poverty organizations, works in multiple communities in the U.S. and abroad to serve those who are homeless, living in poverty or seeking safety. It provides a comprehensive array of services in the areas of health, housing, jobs and justice – and leads state and national policy efforts, which target lasting change for individuals and society. This is the second year Mueller is supporting this organization by volunteering, holding in-office fundraisers, and sponsoring multiple events.
